fighting.

Tammy just found out that one of her kids, Kumari, is set to be claimed by her relatives on May 1st- which means that Kumari would have to leave K-Homes for good and go live in the slums with her uncle. The uncle says he wants her because he won't live with the fact that his own children are poor while his dead brother's child is being taken care of. When Kumari came to K-Homes she had been begging in the streets and was wearing 18-month clothes as a 4-year-old. She has been here for almost a year now and is seriously about the cutest thing you've ever seen. She's 5 years old and is going to school and has learned english and loves life. Her uncle says there's no need to educate a girl and says he will never send her to school.

Bottom line is that God has to come through for us and change her uncle's mind. There is legally nothing that can be done. We have been praying for her uncle to be bombarded by feelings of guilt and a heaviness on his heart - so much so that he just changes his mind about coming to get her. We have been praying that God would bless his own family and children. We have been praying for a serious lack of peace in her uncle's mind.

This is really a life or death situation for Kumari. If she leaves here, we will never see her again and she seriously doesn't even stand a chance in the world she will be in. So we are believing God that He is going to come through. It's our only choice!

You can pray! Your prayers are powerful! Fight for her with us!
